Texas Camp Syllabi Master Index Update, Do you have a stack of syllabi from previous Texas Thanksgiving Folk Dance Camps sitting around your home?  Have you ever wanted to teach or review a folk dance that you learned at camp, but you can’t remember which year it was taught?  Your problem is solved.  We have posted an updated master index of Texas Camp syllabi on the TIFD web page at http://tifd.org/TexasCampSyllabiIndex.pdf . This index lists over 1400 dances published in Texas Camp syllabi from 1954 through 2009.  In addition to the camp year and page number, the index lists the formation and instructor for most dances.  Some background material and songs are also indexed. Sally Jenkins from Tulsa and Chuck Roth from Austin compiled the Index.  We plan to add the early years of Texas Camp at a later time.

Grants: Don’t forget that TIFD offers grants to groups and individuals furthering TIFD goals. One group in 2009 successfully received a “stop-gap” grant to cover any losses for a workshop/dance program. Check the TIFD website for applications. www.tifd.org
